American singer- songwriter John J. Mellencamp started his career as John Cougar. In 1982 he released his breakthrough album, “American Fool”, which featured the U.S. No. 1 hit “Jack & Diane”. The singer’ss fifteenth album, the self-titled “John Mellencamp”, was released on Columbia Records in 1998. Recorded with his six-piece band, the album featured guest appearances by Izzy Stradlin and Lisa Germano, among others. This album includes two live bonus tracks.
