Since 2004, Belfast based space-sludge-doom juggernauts Slomatics have always scoured the cosmic plains for doomy riff inspiration. The universe is a vast place, so Slomatics have never run out of it. Every album tells its own story, but each and every Slomatics release has been packed with bone-rattling primal heaviness in the form of fuzz-laden doom and psychedelic (stoner) rock, to be compared with an occult mix of Electric Wizard, YOB and Conan; raw, smokey, powerful, dark, otherworldly, passionate and mythical! Their 6th full-length studio-album “Canyons“ (2019) has been described as “a spiritual muddy monster with extraterrestrial humanity, tender bludgeoning and melancholic slabbing”.
