Solo album by JANE co-founder CHARLY MAUCHER on CD for the first time. Charly Maucher was a much-travelled member of the Hannover scene, and after working with Jane and then Harlis, he went on to front his own band. After stints with the Lime Lights, Scarengers and Coffinbeats, Norbert "Charly" Maucher, was one of the founding members of Jane in 1970. With his smoky voice and powerful bass playing, he had a lasting impact on the band's sound until he left in 1974. Two great albums with HARLIS followed. In 1979/1980 Jane drummer Peter Panka enabled him to record his first and only solo album "Performance" in Jane Studio, which was released by Teldec in 1980. Maucher then worked on the successful rock ballet Warlock at the Lower Saxony State Theater in Hanover. Charly then moved to Canada with his wife, but from 2000 he was part of the successor band Peter Panka's Jane. In 2017 he fell ill with leukemia, and he died in August 2019.
