In 1966 composer and multi-instrumentalist Steve Jolliffe formed the Joint with vocalist Rick Davies (later of Supertramp). In 1968 he formed Tangerine Dream with Edgar Froese and Klaus Schulze. Steve returned to England in 1969, recording and touring withprog Blues outfit Steamhammer, and later rejoined TangerineDream. Since 1979 Steve has recorded over 50 solo albums, including these three first released in the early 80s. First released in 1985, this is a rare combination of instrumental music and songs, with vocals on four tracks. It features programmed Yamaha and Roland synths coupled with Steve Jolliffe’s unique woodwind playing and masterful guitar renditions. An album of progressive electronic music augmented with acoustic sounds.
