One of the longest-running Swedish death metal bands, GRAVE has created a sound and style which has been an inspiration on several extreme metal bands. The band started in 1986 under the name Corpse and changed it to Grave in 1988. Formed in 1986 by vocalist and guitarist Ola Lindgren, Jörgen Sandström (ex-Entombed, ex-Candlemass) on lead vocals and guitars and drummer Jens "Jensa" Paulsson. The band had much success in the early 1990s, and their first four albums, Into the Grave, You'll Never See..., Soulless and Hating Life, cemented their reputation as one of Sweden's foremost death metal bands. In late 1993, GRAVE released the ‘...And Here I Die...Satisfied’, a limited-edition EP featuring brand new, rare, and remixed tracks encompassing the band's entire recording history. Designed to mark the end of an era for the outfit, the EP set the stage for the release of the trio's long-awaited third full-length offering.
