* The album opener "Am Abgrund" makes M.Roth's perspective on things clear: Humanity is only one step away from extinction, there's no looking back, no escape...
* "Ich und mein Bolzenschussgerät" is a punk-y up-tempo song and tells the story of a protagonist who is in a very bad mental state and takes the law into his own hands - supported by the captive bolt gun that gives the track its title.
* "Im blutroten Raum" is a typical band anthem, a (nec-)romantic love story embedded in melodies that burn themselves into the listener's memory and stay with them long after the song has faded away.
* "Lebendköder" is a black metal-tinged composition that lyrically takes up a variant of the vampire theme: The wife of the first-person narrator has been killed by a vampire, and during the hunt for the undead murderer, the protagonist himself becomes a beast who also accepts a human life in exchange for his revenge.
* "Dem Menschsein so fern" combines Russian-influenced violin melodies with pure frenzy. It tells the story of a young man's mystical journey in search of his true father. He finally finds him in the shadows: It is death personified.
* "Schöner sterben" is a slow, solemn hymn. M. Roth takes a look at life itself - and the right of every person to decide when their own life should end.
* "Hinterland" takes us back to the burning of witches in the dark Middle Ages. The up-tempo track with hit potential tells of the pyres that turned night into day in the 'Hinterland'.
* "Rasierfleisch" combines blast beats with catchy chorus sections. Lyrically, a deviant preference for very smooth skin is portrayed.
* "Abart" is a very special title track in the band's oeuvre - the credo of the album is summed up briefly and precisely.
* "Schmutzliebe" is another solemn anthem with a very impressive polyphonic chorus. Sometimes love takes you to very dark places, and sometimes you don't love the person themselves, but only their dirty shell...
* "Totkörperkunst" is the magnum opus of the new album. In over 10 minutes, the band presents all the twisted melodies and musical ingenuity that has made them so popular with their fans over the decades. A crowning finale of their 17th album.
