Britská popová provokatérka Charli XCX predstavuje svoj netrpezlivo očakávaný nový album s názvom „Wuthering Heights“, ktorý vyjde 13. februára 2026 prostredníctvom vydavateľstva Atlantic Records. Album vznikol v spolupráci Charli s filmárkou Emerald Fennell na jej novej interpretácii klasického románu Emily Brontëovej – sveta presiaknutého gotickými krajinami a mučenou túžbou. V očakávanom filme sa predstavia Margot Robbie a Jacob Elordi.

Dvanásťskladbová cesta, vytvorená prevažne s britským producentom Finnom Keaneom, prináša zvukový etos, ktorý je elegantný aj brutálny zároveň. Zamračená úvodná skladba a hlavný singel „House“ – s Johnom Caleom z The Velvet Underground – ukazuje úplne nové aspekty umenia Charli XCX. Nekompromisná a vizionárska skladba, ktorá zahŕňa klasickú hudbu, darkwave a viscerálne postindustriálne zvuky. Naproti tomu následný singel „Chains of Love“ je vášnivá, evokatívna synth-popová balada.

Charli xcx has redefined popular music. Her innovative style and entrepreneurial drive have reshaped pop culture. Her album, BRAT, released last June, was the most critically acclaimed album of 2024, earning her five BRIT Awards and three Grammy Awards.

On screen, Charli is producing and starring in A24’s “The Moment,” an original concept created by her and the first co-production venture from studio365, scheduled to be released in 2026. Additionally, she is co-executive producing the score for the A24 film "Mother Mary" with Jack Antonoff and will also star in Daniel Goldhaber’s remake of the 1978 cult horror film “Faces of Death.” Charli has several other roles in various stages of production, including Greg Araki’s erotic thriller “I Want Your Sex,” Cathy Yan’s independent film “The Gallerist,” Julia Jackman’s period fantasy “100 Nights Of Hero,” Romain Gavras’ satirical action “Sacrifice,” and Pete Ohs’ intimate drama “Erupcja.”
