V roku 1974 Kevin Ayers opustil vydavateľstvo Harvest (patriace pod EMI), ktoré bolo jeho domovskou značkou od roku 1969, a prešiel k Island Records. V tom istom roku nahral kultový album „The Confessions of Doctor Dream“.

Album, ktorý produkoval Rupert Hine, obsahoval rozsiahlu titulnú skladbu a novú verziu piesne „Why Are We Sleeping?“ od skupiny Soft Machine; ako hostia sa na ňom okrem iných podieľali Mike Oldfield a Mike Ratledge. Bol to zároveň prvý album, na ktorom na gitare hral Kevinov dlhoročný hudobný spolupracovník Ollie Halsall, a dielo sa stretlo s uznaním kritiky aj fanúšikov.

Album „Sweet Deceiver“ vyšiel v roku 1975 a hosťoval na ňom Elton John. Následne sa Kevin v roku 1976 vrátil k EMI Harvest, aby nahral ďalšiu vysoko hodnotenú nahrávku „Yes, We Have No Mananas – So Get Your Mananas Today“. Na podporu albumu zostavil novú koncertnú skupinu, v ktorej pôsobil aj budúci gitarista kapely The Police, Andy Summers. V roku 1978 vyšiel album „Rainbow Takeaway“ a v roku 1980 nasledoval Kevinov posledný album pre Harvest s názvom „That’s What You Get Babe“.

Tento nový box set, ktorý pokrýva Kevinovu tvorbu z neskoršieho obdobia jeho kariéry u vydavateľstiev Island a EMI Harvest, bol remasterovaný z pôvodných master pásov. Obsahuje všetky spomínané albumy a k tomu ďalších 35 bonusových skladieb – vrátane singlov, nahrávok z relácií pre BBC Radio a 13 doteraz nevydaných koncertných záznamov z Paríža (1975) a Brém (1976). Súčasťou balenia „Where Do The Stars End“ je aj ilustrovaná kniha s novou esejou.
